Perfect for maximising natural light between rooms, they're a practical, space saving option that gives you the flexibility to configure your living space exactly how you want to.
Unlike single leaf internal doors, an internal bi fold door can create an open plan feel or close off space when you need to. These interior doors often feature large glass panels so you can increase light flow throughout your home. This makes them ideal for the living room, dining room and kitchen.
Want to know more about our range? We offer 3 main types of internal folding doors - the Roomfold Standard, the Roomfold Deluxe, and the Roomfold Grande.
The Roomfold Standard range is a top-hung system with no base track or threshold, and is supplied with; doors, unfinished frame as standard, head track, running gear and hinges. It does however exclude handle/latch and flush bolts, allowing you to choose your own to suit your tastes. This room divider system allows through flooring to be installed with no break.
The Roomfold Deluxe range is also a top-hung internal bifold door system, but there is a much wider variety of panel sizes and width options available. These internal bi-folding door sets are offered complete with; finished frame; head track; low-level base track and threshold; stainless steel hinges and hinge handles and brushed stainless steel drop bolts. The only item you need to purchase is the handle/latch, where most people want to match existing ironmongery.
The Grande range of interior bifold doors includes the benefits of both the standard and the deluxe ranges, whilst being available in a huge range of sizes and is designed with no base tracks. The Grande range of room dividers is ideal for installing over existing floor coverings like tiling or parquet flooring.
French folding doors are the perfect choice if you want to enjoy the benefits of both traditional internal French doors and bifold doors in your home. With a French folding door, you can either open them in the middle, like a French door, or use the sliders to fold them back like a bifold door.
Once these internal bi fold doors are installed the low-level threshold aligns with most existing finished floor levels so you have little or no step, and these sets offer a higher level of rigidity when closed in a screen.
An added benefit of the Roomfold Deluxe over most other standard internal folding door systems is that door panels up to 762mm wide can be used giving you large glass panes, and large opening doors.
Our slimline bifold doors offer an exceptional space-saving solution for smaller rooms, small bathrooms, and compact utilities where traditional door swings restrict floor space.
Our slimline range features a high-density, engineered core that provides superior structural integrity and acoustic insulation within a significantly narrower frame. This advanced construction prevents the warping commonly found in standard lightweight doors, ensuring the panels glide smoothly along the top-hung track system. The minimized stack footprint allows you to reclaim valuable square footage near tight walkways, delivering premium performance without compromising on contemporary style.
It's important to choose new internal bifold doors to suit your décor, so we have a range of styles and finishes available.
These high quality doors are supplied ready to hang, just add door furniture. Fully finished internal bi folding doors have a coating applied in the factory so they don't require any paint or stain application on-site.
Our white primed internal bifold doors provide an exceptional, smooth base coat that reduces your on-site preparation time. We apply a premium double-coat primer in the factory, meaning you only need to apply a single final topcoat of your chosen paint to achieve a flawless, professional finish. The engineered solid core construction provides excellent stability and prevents any moisture absorption during painting, ensuring the door panels maintain their precise dimensions.
Ready to finish with your own paint or stain. Choose unfinished bifold doors if you have a unique colour in mind or want to match existing doors, furniture or windows. Add a stain to unfinished doors to make the most of the natural wood finish.
You can also choose internal bifold doors with glazed or solid panels. We stock internal bifold door sets with clear and frosted glazing to give you the level of privacy you need.
If you have any specific requirements on size, please don’t hesitate to call as most of our sets are joinery products meaning that they can be modified in height and width. These products should be installed by a joiner or professional DIYer to achieve the best product performance. Please ensure any unfinished internal folding doors are suitably stored and decorated before installation.

Questions about Internal Bifold Doors
Our range of interior folding doors starts from under £200. The size, material, finish and number of glazed panels will impact on the door price.
The average installation cost for an internal bifold door track and panel system typically ranges from £200 to £500, but you will need to get a quote to match your requirements. This cost depends on the structural opening size and whether the lintel requires reinforcing to support a top-hung track system. Pre-assembled kits help minimise these installation expenses.
A premium internal bifold door system typically lasts between 15 and 25 years. The exact lifespan depends heavily on the core construction, material quality, and the durability of the track hardware. Choosing engineered timber with stable veneers ensures the panels resist warping, dropping, or misaligning over decades of regular operation.
We always recommend using a professional fitter to ensure a perfect structural fit and completely smooth operation over time. A professional installer possesses the precise tools required to level the top-hung track perfectly, guaranteeing the engineered door panels slide and fold without any resistance. Our internal bifold door systems arrive with comprehensive tracking hardware and clear structural instructions for straightforward assembly.
Sliding pocket doors, french doors and sliding barn doors increasingly replace traditional internal bifold doors. Homeowners choose these alternatives because they feature narrower frame profiles and larger individual glass panes. This design maximises natural light transfer between rooms and offers unobstructed views without requiring space for folded door panels to stack.
Yes. High-quality internal bifold doors add measurable value to a property because they improve layout flexibility and maximise natural light. Buyers value the ability to open up communal spaces or isolate quiet areas instantly. Investing in engineered timber variants provides the structural durability that justifies a higher property valuation.
Internal sliding doors or a pair of French doors with glazed side panels represent the best alternatives. Sliding systems provide uninterrupted glass performance with minimal framing interference. If you prefer a classic aesthetic with a wide opening capacity, engineered French doors deliver excellent acoustic insulation and structural efficiency.
Yes. Internal bifold doors remain highly popular, though consumer preferences have evolved toward premium, ultra-slim profiles and contemporary factory-finished styles like black and anthracite grey. Interior designers continue to favour them for their unique ability to open up an entire wall space completely, a functional benefit that standard doors cannot replicate.
Choosing whether your internal doors stack into one room or the other depends entirely on your available floor space and furniture layout. Most configurations stack into the larger room to preserve valuable floor space in the smaller area. You should choose the direction that avoids obstructing high-traffic walkways.
