Heritage Frenchfold doors bring together the benefits of internal bifold doors and internal French doors with the striking looks of traditional industrial style doors. Like internal French doors, they have a central opening but they also have two folding sidelight doors that allow them to open wide like bifold doors.

Unlike Heritage internal bifold doors, our French folding Heritage doors do not open along a track. They are hinged at the sides and fold flat back against the adjacent wall instead. This makes them a cheaper option than Heritage bifold doors as well as easier to install.

Our stunning range of Heritage style internal doors is designed to echo the look of traditional steel doors. Available in a sleek, minimalist matt black colour, Heritage doors feature large glass panels to let plenty of natural light shine through, with a grid pattern design that harks back to the steel doors and windows typical of large industrial buildings at the turn of the 19th century.

As with all our steel look internal doors, our black Heritage style doors are particularly suited to art deco or industrial interior design styles. They look fantastic against exposed brick or natural materials like wood - they also contrast nicely with pale colour schemes.

Of all folding internal doors, bifold doors tend to be the most expensive. This makes Frenchfold doors a great budget-friendly alternative for anyone who wants the bifold aesthetic and function without the price tag.

Frenchfold doors also share many other benefits with bifold doors, including saving space as you can fold them back against a wall and you don’t have to compromise too much space to accommodate the open door. They let in just as much light as glazed bifold doors too.

Like standard internal French doors, French folding doors have drop bolts so that you can arrange just one central opening door if you want it for access. Also, like French doors, you can use drop bolts to hold the doors open with the sidelights shut, if you would like a slightly bigger opening without the whole thing being thrown wide open.
